The morning began with an intimate sunrise shoot at Chautauqua Park in Boulder, CO. They didn't choose this place just for its beauty; Chautauqua is a special place for these two. When they first met, John got Leslie into climbing, and in their spare time they go to Chautauqua to climb the Flatirons. When we were planning this sunrise shoot months before the wedding, Leslie was picturing the Flatirons covered in a white frost. But the month leading up to the wedding was full of sunny 60-70 degree days, a Colorado December with no snow. But guys, the morning of her wedding, her dream came true! As the sun rose over the foothills, it revealed the snow dusted Flatirons, a scene straight out of a fairytale.

John helped Leslie climb into her wedding dress && winter boots on the deck of the visitor center - making this moment the most adorable and unique first look I've ever witnessed. We hiked around, soaking in the sunrise && bracing ourselves against the frigid temp and chilly morning breeze. They read their vows and promised to love each other forever. And after they ate breakfast at Whole Foods in their wedding attire, the location of their first date. How fitting && adorable!

They gathered again later that day surrounded by friends and family at The Saint Vrain in Longmont, CO for their ceremony and reception. I still get choked up looking back through these photos. The realness of the emotions that day — Leslie's dad wiping away a tear after hugging his daughter in her wedding dress, John's face when he saw his bride walking down the isle ready to share her life with him forever, the laughter everyone shared, the memories friends and family during their speeches — it became very apparent to me that these two have made a huge impact on those who surround them. They radiate love && kindness.
